Born in St. Petersberg as most Jewish kids graduated of violoin in school, and sang in a school choir from the age of 7. At age 16 he was introduced to Chazanut in the Great Synagogue of Moscow and has loved it since.
He was a Shaliach Tzibur in Yeshiva and also a Chazan in Kishinov (Moldova) for two years.
Upon making Aliyah, was happy to join Halelu Choir a few years ago.
Shimon lives in RBS with his wife Miriam and 4 children.
