Joel Pomerantz lives in Ramat Beit Shemesh with his wife and six children. He works asa psychologist in the community. He and his family made Aliya 9 years ago from Cleveland, Ohio. Joel’s interest in vocal music began during childhood and he originally took singing lessons at the Cleveland Music Settlement School. As a yeshiva student, Joel studied classical singing with Cantor Shelly Abrams and has served as chazzan for Yomim Noraim in Omaha, Nebraska, Cleveland, Ohio, and Queens, New York. More recently, Joel has served as baal shacharis at the Nachlas Yisrael Yitzchok yeshiva in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
