חברי המקהלה, כולם בעלי רקע וניסיון מוזיקלי עשיר, מביאים עמם רוח רעננה   וחיננית לעולם החזנות, הבאים לידי ביטוי בחום ווקאלי ואנושי כאחד

על המקהלה מנצח מר שלום כינורי, העוסק מזה שנים רבות בהוראת מוזיקה ברחבי הארץ ולוקח חלק בהפקה וניצוח על פרויקטים מוזיקליים שונים בארץ ובחו״ל. מבחר מיצירות המקהלה הולחנו ועובדו על ידו מחדש באופן מקורי       וייחודי

מקהלת ‘הללו’ מופיעה בבתי כנסת רבים  וברפרטואר העשיר של יצירותיה משלבת עיבודים מקוריים, לצד קטעי חזנות קלאסיים, ובכך הופכת התפילה לחוויה רוחנית מיוחדת במינה

מקהלת ׳הללו׳ פרצה בשנים האחרונות לתודעה הציבורית של חובבי המוזיקה הליתורגית-חזנית, כאשר לצד שבתות חזנות מקומיות, שהיוו אבן שואבת לאוהבי התחום, הופיעה בבמות חשובות ומוערכות, דוגמת ביכ״נ הגדול בירושלים ומלון ‘וולדורף אסטוריה’, לצד חזנים מהשורה הראשונה, ובשיתוף פעולה פורה עם המעבד, מר ריימונד גולדשטיין והמאסטרו אלי יפה

מקהלת ׳הללו׳ לוקחת חלק בימים אלו בקונצרט גדול המתקיים בתיאטרון ירושלים, יחד עם התזמורת הסימפונית של ירושלים, בניצוח מאסטרו אלי יפה

Halelu Choir was formed in 2008 in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel. The choir, is comprised of mostly anglo local residents and blends a unique array of both adult and child voices.

All the choir members have a professional musical background , thus infusing their own personal contribution into the Chazanut pieces.

The choir master is Mr Shalom Kinnory who has been teaching music for many years in Israel, as well as producing and conducting numerous musical projects both locally and abroad. Shalom has spent many years conducting, composing, and arranging works from the world of Jewish liturgy. A large portion of the repertoire has been written and arranged for Halelu by Shalom, in his uniquely diverse classical music style.

The Halelu Choir performs annualy in numerous shuls in Israel and abroad, and enjoys a rich repertoire of both classic and well known compositions as well as newly arranged chazanus pieces. It is no secret that the choir’s wide repertoire transforms the Shabbos davening into a spiritually uplifting and wonderful experience.

 

Shabbat Shirah:

Shabbat Shira in Ramat bet Shemesh has become an annual highlight event for the town. Halelu proudly hosts top chazzanim from around the country at the annual Shabat Shira event. This year 2017, is the third year of our Shabbos Shirah Event which has been an overwhelming success, with a record turn out of over 2000 people over shabbos and hosted at the Central Sporting Hall in RBSA.

Performances:

Halelu has made its debut into the consciousness of liturgical-cantorial music lovers. In addition to regular local Shabbat appearances, loved by cantorial music fans. Halelu has performed on stage in several high profile events and venues around the country including a full Shabat davening at The Great Synagogue in Jerusalem with Chazan Avraham Kirshenbaum.

Halelu also produced and performed a 2 hour Pesach Chazonus Concert at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Hotel Ballroom in Jerusalem.

These appearances are all accompanied by first class Chazanim, and often in conjunction with the famous arranger Raymond Goldstein and the Maestro Eli Jaffe. The Choir recently performed in a prestigious concert at the Jerusalem Theatre together with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra lead by Maestro Eli Jaffe. The performance was co-hosted by Chazan Simon Cohen and Chazan Avremi Freilich both from London, UK.

UK Tour:

Halelu has completed its first tour abroad to the UK and performed with Chazan Avraham Kirshenbaum of St Johns Wood Synagogue, in several Hendon Shuls on

Shabbos Mevorchim – Mishpatim.

The choir also staged a Rosh Chodesh Chazanus Concert on Motsei Shabbos Rosh Chodesh Adar at the Hasmonean Girl’s School Hall with Chazan Avraham Kirshenbaum, and other guest Chazanim.
